Welcome Back Guidelines

Habitat Beauty Co. is self care studio dedicated to the Beautification and Wellness of our guests, community and planet. Your health + saftey are our top priority during these times, some things about your experience will need to be a bit different in order to comply with safety standards for both guest + stylist.

Please read below for what to expect— in addition to wonderful hair, of course!!

 • Our collective of independent stylists will be customizing their own service menus to accommodate servicing our clients needs in the best ways we personally assess. If you see multiple stylists in the salon, please know their service menus, pricing, and timing may differ from each other and from pervious experiences. We will be focusing first on accommodating clients with previously booked appointments, and no new appointments may be made available until your stylist has honored their “wait list”. Online booking will be reopened at your stylists individual discretion. We will resume regular services again once our business is able to support broader and more flexible needs.

• We are practicing the highest sanitation procedures, in compliance with state board and CDC guidelines, to ensure reduction of transmission for the safety of all. In addition to social distancing, you will see team members cleaning door handles, tools, products, iPads, and all surfaces with the hospital grade disinfectant.

• In order to comply with social distancing inside the salon, our capacity is reduced and as a result, your stylist’s schedule & availability may be temporarily shifted. Please know we want to see you just as badly as you want to see us, and we are making every responsible effort to get you into the salon in a timely manner.

• While we are taking every precaution to follow all mandated protocols, above and beyond, to make sure your visit to Habitat is as safe as possible, there is risk associated with any personal touch service. A release of liability waiver will be required for all visits to Habitat Beauty Co.

You may review our state mandates here:

• Please come alone to your appointment. No friends or children may accompany you. We are unable to offer in-salon waiting. Please wait in your car and your stylist will call you when they are ready for you.

• As you enter our salon you please immediately wash or sanitize your hands. We will be taking your temperature and recording your visit for responsible participation in contact tracing. Please reschedule your appointment if you are running a fever or experiencing a cough or any other viral symptoms. Should you exhibit symptoms or have a fever of 100.4 (according to CDC guidelines) your service will be cancelled and rescheduled in a minimum of 10-14 days, as aligns for you and your stylist.

• ALL occupants of Habitat Beauty Co. are required to wear face covering at all times. We ask that you bring your own over-the-ear mask, but should you not have a suitable face covering, one will be provided for you. Please know we will be unable to service anyone without a mask for the safety of our guests and team.

• We ask that our clients please pay by card allowing us to keep risks low with the transfer of currency. We will not be accepting cash at all at this time. Enabling apple pay, where possible, will allow for touch free payment processing. If cash is only method available be sure to have exact amount.

• Please ask for what you need. Should you require additional precautions, such as disposable covering for chairs, your clothes, a single-use plastic cape, gloves, such may be made available for you upon request. As we are not required by the state to provide these items, and in alignment with our environmentally conscious culture, these will not be standard in our operating protocols. Instead, we will use freshly cleaned reusable capes and drapes for clients, disinfectant sprays on chairs, and proper hand washing/sanitizing practices.

• In order to participate in responsible contact tracing, we ask that should you develop symptoms or test positive for the virus within 14 days of your visit to the salon, you notify the salon and/or your stylist immediately.
